Coimbatore : In what is being trolled on social media as the most embarrassing slip of the tongue during her campaign speech in Coimbatore, Premalatha Vijayankanth of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) said, "The Pulwama attack which killed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans was planned by Modi."
Premalatha Vijayankanth has fumbled several times in the past during her previous public meetings as well. She is the treasurer of DMDK and was here in the city on Thursday to gather support for C P Radhakrishnan of BJP who is contesting as part of the AIADMK alliance in Coimbatore.
"Do not worry about GST, our MPs in Delhi will see to it that GST is reconsidered," she assured in her speech. "It is because of Narendra Modi that India has entered into the elite club of building an anti-satellite missile," she added. However, the public were taken aback when she fumbled saying that the Pulwama attack which killed India's jawans was planned by bold Modi.
Premalatha urged the people to cast votes for CPR in astounding numbers to ensure that DMK will not even get back their deposit. She even made a comparison
of CPR with the AIADMK founder, late MGR. "Like everyone knows MGR, everyone in Coimbatore knows CPR. Victory to CPR is victory to the ruling State Government and a victory to Narendra Modi who will lead the nation toward success. The Congress-DMK government was an extremely corrupt government. This alliance will transform Tamil Nadu into the No:1 state of India," said the DMDK leader.
"Will you make CPR victorious by a huge margin?" asked Premalatha in the late AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha's style of election campaigning. "Through CPR's face we can see Narendra Modi, we can see MGR, we can see Amma, we can see Captain," said Premalatha.
